Yosemite

Highlights
- I would visit Yosemite once a year during summer as a kid. It seemed like the most magical place.
- We stayed in Wawona one year and loved swimming at Swinging Bridge and in the Merced. We saw a mama bear and her cubs on our drive into the Valley! We also stayed at Yosemite View Lodge in El Portal and loved being so close - I saw another mama bear and cubs early one morning driving back out of the Valley!
- The short hike up Sentinel Dome is well worth it en route to Glacier Point. Taft Point was also worth it - if you can stomach the vertigo inducing views straight down.
- The Mist Trail is a must-do as well as walking to the bottom of lower Yosemite Falls. During one visit, I made the scramble up to Sierra Point which was quite the adventure.
- We love just renting bikes and cruising around the Valley, taking in the views. We often find ourselves at Swinging Bridge along the sandy shores of the Merced.

Highlights
- Tuolumne Meadows is gorgeous and so is the road there, and beyond. We love stopping at Olmsted Point and Tenaya Lake.
- Cathedral Peak and range looks so alluring - I hope to explore that area more in the future!
- Friends invited me to join them on a hike up to the summit of Mt Dana. Very glad I went and would highly recommend!
